Keep the Line Going

​

The production line of animal feed consists of two key processes: grinding and heat extrusion.

​

For every new batch of raw materials, I am in charge of assessing their quality with my colleague. This is to ensure that the final products will meet the standards required. 

​

On-line monitoring of the manufacturing processes is the biggest challenge in my job. As chemical engineer, I need to constantly monitor the temperature, pH, conductivity, and redox potential of the in-line mixtures and troubleshoot immediately if any parameters went off. 

​

I'm also involved in the preliminary assessments of the quality of the final products, mainly looking at the size, shape and firmness of the feed pellets.
